FAQs
Who are trauma-informed classes for?
Everyone. Trauma informed yoga isn’t only for those who have traumatic experiences. These classes may be especially helpful for anyone seeking a healthy relationship with their mind-body connection. If you have existing health concerns or physical limitations, please consult your Primary Care Provider prior to engaging for your own safety.
If I’m a therapy client, can I also attend the classes?
Yes. You must sign separate consent forms to engage in either service. Liz will not acknowledge you as a therapy client in a yoga class and other instructors will not be aware of your client status unless you choose to share.
Is there any studio etiquette I should know about?
Please show up slightly early (5-10 minutes) so that you may set up your area, sign consent form(s), or grab any needed materials.
Shoes must be removed, socks are optional
Be mindful of the space and avoid stepping on anyone’s mat
Please make room for others if it’s available
Minimize conversation once the class begins
If you need to leave the class, do so before Savasana. Otherwise, stay on your mat during Savasana until the end of class (typically around 7-10 min).
What if I’ve never done yoga before?
All yoga classes are beginner friendly unless otherwise stated (intermediate / advanced). Each class is rooted in choice and curiosity; there are no expectations on how your body should look or move. YOU get to choose your journey.
How do the yoga classes take place and how do I sign up?
Luna offers in-person and virtual classes. Check the booking or calendar page to see what classes are currently offered and reserve your spot.
Can I bring food / drink?
No outside food is allowed in studio. Luna offers a light snack bar and water station. Water bottles with secure tops are allowed on the class floor.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, unless you have specific yoga materials that enhance your experience that won’t be disruptive to others’ practice. Luna provides mats, blocks, and cushions. Straps are not utilized at Luna, please refrain from bringing these to the studio.
